On-Demand Virtual Assistant: Pay-as-You-Go Hours and One-Time Projects

Help when the work shows up: buy a block of hours or book a one-time project, with no monthly package and no contract.

Not every business needs an assistant every week. Some work comes in bursts: a busy season, a product launch, a backlog of data entry, a month when you are on vacation. An on-demand virtual assistant covers those moments. You pay for the hours you use, with no monthly package and no contract.

We offer on-demand help two ways: pay-as-you-go hours and one-time projects. Both work with every one of our 18 roles, from administrative and executive support to bookkeeping, design, real estate and medical work.

Pay-as-You-Go Hours

Buy a block of hours, any amount from 5 to 500, and use it whenever work comes in. Hours stay valid for 90 days after payment.

For an Administrative Assistant at the Skilled VA level:

  • 5 hours: $72
  • 10 hours: $144
  • 20 hours: $273.60 (5% off)
  • 50 hours: $648 (10% off)

Hourly prices run from $12 an hour for a Data Entry & Research Assistant to $21.60 for a Website & Tech or AI Assistant. Senior Specialists cost 35% more and US-Based Specialists 90% more.

One-Time Projects

If a job has a clear finish line, such as cleaning up a CRM, building a slide deck, setting up a bookkeeping file or researching 200 leads, book it as a project. You describe the work, we confirm the hour estimate, and you choose the deadline. For an 8-hour administrative project:

  • Standard (7 days): $115.20
  • Express (3 days): $138.24
  • Priority (48 hours): $155.52
  • Rush (24 hours): $184.32

Projects over 40 hours need at least 3 days.

When On-Demand Is the Right Choice

  • Work comes in bursts: tax season, the holidays, a launch or an event
  • You want to try a virtual assistant before committing to a monthly package
  • Cover for time off: your own vacation, or a team member on leave
  • A one-off job: a spreadsheet cleanup, a research project or a backlog of emails
  • Overflow: your team is at capacity for a few weeks

When a Monthly Package Is Better

On-demand hours cost 20% more than package hours because there is no commitment. If you use 20 hours or more every month, a monthly package is about 17% cheaper per hour. Unused package hours roll over, and Professional and Full-Time packages include a trained backup assistant. Read how much a virtual assistant costs to compare.

How It Works

  • Choose your hours or project on the order form and see the price straight away
  • Pay the itemized invoice by card or crypto
  • Your account manager matches you with an assistant, usually within 1 to 3 business days, or within 24 hours with rush onboarding for $49
  • Send tasks as they come up, and share any logins through the encrypted vault in your account

Every assistant signs an NDA and works US business hours in your time zone, whether you buy hours, a project or a monthly package.
